Hello all!
Wohlers here, I had a little time to kill and thought you all might like to see a photo I captured of David and Jon working on a new song.

Our plane for the 1st leg of the journey took off at 3:00 Milwaukee time. The flight should last about 1.5 hours. All of Bounding Main are seated in the same area of the plane, as you can imagine wisecracks have been plentiful.
As I look out my window I see beautiful fluffy white clouds over lake Michigan, what a beautiful day to fly.

Where are we?
Sitting on the runway waiting to take off. Our flight has been delayed. Estimated arrival time in Germany is now 10:43 am Germany time.
How do we pass the time on the plane?
Jon is doing a crossword.
Dean is listening to music.
David is asleep.
I’m blogging.
Ohhh takeoff gotta go!

I just uploaded the last few posts for the trip while sitting in a rest stop on the border between Germany and the Nederlands.
The rest stop was clean and the people were friendly. The strangest thing here is that they charge to use the restroom. When you pay, usually 0.50€, you are given a ticket. The tickets can then be turned in when you make a purchase as a coupon.
I have to say I am so happy with the taste of the canned sodas like fanta orange. They use actuall sugar instead of corn syrup, and it tastes so much better.
We are now about 100km from Amsterdam, and are enjoying the scenery on the drive.

Wohlers here gang.
Let me first start off by saying how incredibly impressed I am by our host Bert Hobo and his family. Bert took the time to play incredibly patient tour guide for all of us crazy Americans.
As part of his tour guide role Bert took us to visit one of the historic pumping stations that are responsible for keeping the country dry. If I guessed correctly at the pamphlets I snagged,
the stations in this network empty into the Zuider Zee. This fact has kept the song “The Dutchman” running through my head most of the day.
While at the pump house we were able to examine all of the steam driven pumping equipment and of course played around as much as possible.
Our gracious guide Bert even pointed out that the boiler room had fantastic accoustic properties. Bounding Main took the opportunity to test them by singing “Pump Shanty” and a quick chorus of “Mingulay Boat Song”.
Finally, after some highly inapproprate pictures by the coal fired boiler (that will not be posted) we bid farewell to the station and continued our journey to Amsterdam.

Who knew David was so strong?
Ahh, here we see one of the wrenches used to maintain the pump.
Hmmm, this wrench is just to plain…
I eats me spinach!
Do ya think anyone will notice?
